Totally agree. Anjelika is amazing ... one of the best theaters in the DC area. The farmers market they've started there is excellent too ... rivals Falls Church in quality and selection, but at least for now is far less crowded and hectic. The Merrifield. Garden center is so beautiful. I could drop $300 every weekend if I could swing it! Hidden gem: the snack bar inside the garden center is actually delicious ... the man that runs it treats it like his family restaurant (it very well might be) with the highest quality service, effort, and ingredients. Killer breakfast sandwiches! And you can't beat the al fresco dining amid the gorgeous flowers.
The strip next to Merrifield with the Roadhouse restaurant, Trio Grill, and Beer and Wine store is excellent too.
This area is really changing for the better.
