Not the PP, but I'm a woman who does wear hose. I've never got a yeast infection or a UTI. I don't even understand how wearing hose would cause either of these.


I'm happy for you, but guess what, you're just one woman. Many women do get yeast infections and UTIs, and wearing panty hose can increase the chances.

I'd say it is more a literal generation divide -- ON AVERAGE (always exceptions to the rule) those in their 20s and early 30s do not wear them on a regular basis, some will wear them for interviews. Older than that it is much more common. Don't assume that millenials/younger Gen Xers aren't in higher level positions. They are. And many got there without wearing pantyhose.

As for me, I never even thought about it. I'm 30. I've never worn them. Never had an issue and am a senior director at a nonprofit.

Not in my opinion. I wore them for entry and low level position interviews and continue to wear them today for interviews.

Another vote for wearing hose to the interview no matter how disgusting dc is in the summer. Not worth the risk. And I look worse than Hillary Clinton in pantsuits.

It may not be the norm day-to-day, however an interview is different. You wear them. Period. You won't get dinged for wearing them, but you certainly can get dinged for not wearing them. Not worth the risk to me and I HATE pantyhose.
