you are an utter moron. owning mutual funds is the "equivalent" of owning shares of stock. actually, it is owning shares of stock.
your entire point is that it's easy to do some research, pick stocks and beat the market over a span of 30 years. nearly nobody can do this. your advice is incredibly bad, and anyone dumb enough to follow it deserves to lose his/her money.
i've asked you this before. what is your annualized investment return over the last 25 years. if your approach to investing is so wonderful, please tell us exactly by how many percentage points you have beaten the market over the last couple of decades. not the last three years, the last three decades.
