They both told me they read these boards but because they are no unique identifiers, so it allows them to believe its the same person constantly posting bad things. Yeah!

This is the team thought that email was a good idea; hasn't fired Cleveland and will constantly say the staff really do care and it's just random if staff act like assholes.

Until now I didn't think Shady Grove trolled the forums here, but now I see that they've stooped low enough to plant posts here.

Shady Grove has no problem being callous and making people's lives harder, and sadder than they have to be during a very difficult time. I don't think complaining as a consumer (we're not really patients in the fertility industry, but consumers, it's a business first) is wrong, if we all did it more, it would create more accountability.

I unsubscribed from the advertisements well before I left them for another clinic but ON MOTHER'S DAY, they have a note about being SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS? In the SAME email that says Happy Mother's Day?

Who even put such an idiotic email together?

I am glad I left them, and it was for mistakes that caused me more harm than an email EVER could but Oh. My. God. That is beyond crass, insensitive, unnecessary.

In my case I had messed up cycles, and a near-miss on transferring the wrong embryo. Much more serious as far as effect, but an email like that is SERIOUS bad judgment just to create, and then to send it to the WRONG set of patients?

I have been trying to get over my hatred for SG for the money and time of mine they wasted with their incompetence. Now I am just doubly mad at myself for staying there for more than one cycle.

Just another problem with SGF - they spend more money on shitty marketing than fixing their shitty financial system.

I question their other stats - if you can't do an email list properly how the hell do we know they are doing their fertility stats right?

You can unsubscribe from the emails. The number of them got ridiculous.

No one is going to be fired over this. This is SG, after all. If they fired people, Cleveland in DC would have been gone long ago.

Agree! He's awful. He misinterpreted/read my insurance coverage. Told me I had it, found out mid-cycle that was not true. In fact had NO coverage available for our needs (it was nuanced, small company). It was a $25k mistake at the end of the day. I use the other woman, her name escapes me. Funny how you always remember the folks that suck...

I agree with pp 14:32. I can understand the sentiment they were trying to express and truly that they are so involved in everything. But even though they were trying to target the "graduates", I even feel like the line they had at the bottom (about being sorry for those who had experienced a loss) was just kind of crass. It seemed like a total afterthought and just blowing them off. Even if I were a "graduate", I don't think NOT getting a generic email from my clinic would keep my up at night. They should have simply just not sent one.

To me it's not worth the risk of hurting one person whether it was because of sending it to them in error or because of a miscarriage. When you're a new mother a lot of people wish you a happy Mother's Day so you don't really need a generic mass email from SG. Different story if my dr or nurse sent it personally.

I'm glad my clinic doesn't send a mother's day message, even though I had a successful pregnancy.

Yes, someone made a mistake. The bigger issue is why send it in the first place? Do you really need your fertility clinic wishing you a Happy Mother's Day?

For successful cases, the staff at Shady Grove played a key role in the patient becoming a mother.

The clinic's techs, nurses and doctors were there for each step, during the toughest and most exciting of times.

Isn't it only natural for the caring people at Shady Grove to want to share their best wishes? Plus, they're likely hoping that a Mother's Day reminder will lead successful patients to pass along Shady Grove's name to infertile friends.

I must need help with my fb settings. I would love to message companies that have wronged me but then won't all my friends know? I do t want everybody on fb knowing that I'm mad about an email from SG. I don't care if strangers know or if friends who were also following SG knew. Can I change the settings? I would also live to get rid of some items on FB yard sale groups but don't want my mom or MIL to know I am selling something they bought for us.

Mistakes happen. I'm sure the intent behind it is good - to acknowlege "graduates" of their practice. I'm not sure that I need an e-mail from my RE, though.
