Tweezing in the nose hurts worse than any other part of the body. When I've tried it, my eyes start streaming and my nose gushes. Then I sneeze uncontrollably. Not pretty. Something about all the nerve endings in there.

FYI I've been doing this for 2 decades now. I am proud to announce that I have yet to experience a brain infection, or any kind of nasal infection. [I also think your doctor was screwing with you OP?]
Once in a blue while, I'll get a teeny tiny zit from an ingrown hair, however.

OP, if you don't want to have stubble then I guess you have to remove them somehow. Laser was an interesting idea. Call a laser place?
Are you sure that the stubble is noticeable to other people? Ask a good friend.
