And I do use well under the VA average of energy per household, have 1 fuel efficient car which gets driven about 7000 miles a year, buy 100% green power from dominion, and buy carbon offsets for my air travel. So I'm not too concerned about random Internet people's opinions about my hypocrisy or convictions. I also never surf porn at work and completely agree that the person in question should be fired. I have no interest in working with people who don't care about their work either.

EPA should be green in all ways possible (power source, consumption, and more) but I'm pretty sure GSA "buys" all the power for federal agencies. not sure one agency has their own source of power versus others, but i could be wrong.

I work at DoD. Everyone I work with jokes about what a, well, joke, the EPA is.

Alas probably neither will be fired. The offender probably will get a suspension and a mark on his permanent record and will go back to slacking off. Why is it so hard to eject these slugs?

I am a federal employee and while I am very proud of my work ethic and contributions, I shake my head about lots of things I see and hear about with staff at my agency. I'd say that the majority of my colleagues are very professional, but there are enough that ride the system that it's quite disheartening at times.

I do not work at EPA. My brother was a contractor there for a number of years and the stories he tells makes you wonder how on earth that agency functions. There was another thread (maybe the GS-15 one?) where a few posters also specifically pointed out personnel issues at EPA. Now this report about the porn?

So, regulate the waste water, don't dispose of it along a fault line, but use real science and not scare tactics to evaluate the country's options.
