Sounds to me like you need to agree on how much money each of you deposits into the joint account each month, from your separate accounts.

Honestly, there is nothing really you can do.

I mean you can keep asking him, but all that will accomplish is for him to keep denying you.

I would just let the issue slide....

If he won't change his mind and you won't either, it doesn't look like there is any room for compromise here.
