I think this is what I have--I bought it at Caribou Coffee, and it is easy to drink from because there's no cap/flap (the lever is on the handle), and you can lock it and unlock it easily. Never had it leak, and it keeps my coffee nice and hot.

Contigos are wonderful, and super spill proof. They keep my water cold, and my tea hot. They are a tad pricey, but totally worth it!

I posted the GH link- just wanted to say I have bought 2 thermos type mugs for my DH that look exactly like the Bodum one, and work great, and they cost about 5 bucks at Ross..

Best thermos ever. I've left mine in the car all day in the winter and burnt my tongue upon my return. I'll carry it around in my purse sideways and it won't leak a drop. Love it.

I was just about to post the same thing.

It is a nice size, easy to carry, will not leak, and will keep liquids hot for hours. The cap can be a cup, or you could just keep a nice mug at the office to pour your coffee into. I've had mine for years and it looks practically brand new still.

That one looks nice! I have a different model of thermos which also works perfectly for what the OP is describing: Thermos Stainless King 16-Ounce Leak- Proof Travel Mug with Handle (http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Stainless-Travel-16-Ounce-Cranberry/dp/B00FH3FOT2/ref=sr_1_3?s=kitchen&srs=2530615011&ie=UTF8&qid=1398867335&sr=1-3&keywords=thermos)

Just buy a cheap coffeepot and keep it at work. Make coffee once you get there.

I second the Stanley brand. I have a utilitarian avocado green stainless steel canister sitting on my desk right next to me right now. Coffee was made at 6:30 this morning, still hot. I just closed the lid to check the size on the bottom, flipped it totally upside down and nothing spilled. I can toss this sucker into my purse and not worry about leaks. It's not 'pretty' but I don't need my coffee mug to be pretty. The one I have is 16oz and fits in a standard cup holder.

This is what I have: https://www.stanley-pmi.com/products/details/product/14

I keep the water bottle on my desk as well, it helps me remember to drink water throughout the day.

I agree. I think the french press is the way to go - you can bring in your ground beans from home and have fresh coffee at your desk every morning.

Not OP but interested in this idea. We have a Keuring-type thing in our office (a Flavia -- it's awful). Curious how you would heat the water enough? Does your office have a hot-water dispenser (ours does). Or do you use something like this?

If I have coffee with me when boarding Metro, I drink it while on there.
