OP here. Pics for those who asked. The last one is just a close-up of the fabric. The couch would cost $8-$9k new and delivered. I am obviously willing to sell at a steep discount. I am even willing to work something out where I drop it off at a reupholstering place, then you pick it up when they are done (if you want it to be reupholstered). Often fabrics are discontinued but I can still get this one.

As I mentioned, the couch has barely been used. It is actually really comfortable and I'm bummed to get rid of it -- it's just too big for the space. I can take dimensions if needed.

Used upholstered furniture is a tough sell. Bedbug risk.

Donate. And next sofa, get microfiber fabric.

OP here -- I remembered the name of the sofa -- it is Kravet brand, and it is the Newton Sectional sofa. I will post pics tomorrow.

Pet damage is a non-starter. There's the obvious damage, but also reason for suspicion of unsanitary issues, too.

+1. we are in the market for a sofa and have two cats. your post makes me think we might as well get something already scratched for a discount than pay full prince and have the same thing after a few months

Well, we didn't want it either, but we thought someone in need might. Admit it's not an ideal couch, which is why we weren't selling it, but thought it could help someone moving from a homeless shelter to a new place have a place to sit for a few weeks before they found something better. Just thought it was strange, but like I said, we just ended up getting rid of it.

How much are you thinking of selling it for? Someone with pets - like me! - who is looking for a good deal might be interested.

Obviously I meant otherwise excellent condition. Looks like I can get fabric at a decent price so I may just fix it up before selling.

I have lots of furniture with cat damage, but not with cat pee... so yeah, that is a strange leap to me.

Anyways, I agree with posting it on CL disclosing the damage, at a very discounted price. A student, or someone who has cats that scratch, may go for it. Good luck.
