Yes-it is preschool. The small differences will have absolutely no effect on your child.

Fourth -- how much extra driving are we talking about? 10 minutes? half hour?
That's the key. If it is down the street, it may be okay. If it is 10 minutes and a wait--absolutely don't do it.

First off -- do you have the money?
Second -- You were fine with spending the money on the older kid. Why move now. Will you always move the younger to accommodate the older?
Third -- what kind of kid is this young boy? happy-go-lucky, or slow to deal with change.
Fourth -- how much extra driving are we talking about? 10 minutes? half hour?

I didn't. I loved the preschool my kids attended. When my oldest started K at a private school that also had a preschool program I continued to use our previous preschool for younger child. For two years I drove to two separate schools for preschool and graded school. It was a lot of extra driving for me, but the great preschool was worth it. I would send him to the new school. It doesn't sound like much trouble to make two stops--but, believe me, it is. Think of bad weather closings, etc.

Kids that age make friends very easily. Unless your younger has social issues, I would switch him over.
