I worked there, too. I'd buy something cheaper far away, take VRE (across the street and paid odd by PTO) then after a year or two, telework. I rarely go to Alexandria and save a tone of time and money on commute--am guaranteed to not have to come to Alexandria more than 4x per year. Have totally flexible schedule, can do work while kids in activities because everything is metrics driven, make almost 150k (with OT and bonus). Good luck!

There is also the Rec Center and Creative Play, but don't know any thing about them.

I'm the previous poster. The problem with this building is the noise from all the construction around it. I saw the Meridian and really liked it, but the apartments have carpet and I prefer hardwood.

What is wrong with 800 Carlyle? I am looking there, as well as the Meridian at Eisenhower. Meridian is in the lead at the moment. Just waiting for the right apartment to be become available.
