+1. Add in an evening glass of wine or two plus the horrible habit of snacking off the kids' plates.

I'd basically kept it under control until a back injury sidelined me from even the most basic of workouts so I'm coming into 2014 even more unhappy than I was.

Ever since I cut out cocaine I find myself eating a lot more.

alcohol. and the fact that my husband doesn't mind me carrying extra weight, and is always offering me food.

I have zero self control or motivation when it comes to diet and exercise. I don't binge eat, just overeat, have chocolate daily and don't exercise. I feel pretty ashamed of this because I manage other aspects of my life quite well. skinny people get to keep their weaknesses private...

I'm super social. Someone always asks me to lunch, and I always say yes. We have family dinner every night, and do picnics and such with friends on weekends. I enjoy eating and talking and all. But I never really feel "fed" from eating with others - just socially satisfied and entertained. I have to eat alone or quietly to actually notice that I'm full So I'd say that social eating is my achilles heel!

Because I'm lazy and I love food (all food, the good and the bad). Luckily I'm not medically overweight. I just prefer to be smaller.

I exercise, but you can't out-exercise eating large amounts (and the booze).

I'm only about 10 pounds heavier than I'd like to be (thanks, daily exercise!) but I can definitely blame my sweet tooth. I just can't resist sweets, and for me, Halloween-through-Easter is like candy season. I am better behaved from May through September. I also really like my wine. I could probably lose a couple if I gave it up, but then I'd be sad.

Carb craving. Candy and pretzel dishes at work. Stressful life without enough time for relaxation or fun, so I eat to provide a smidgen of joy.

Anonymous wrote:I am not sure when the last time I was at an ideal weight was, but I am going to guess around age 6. The first weight I distinctly remember was 142.5 lbs and I weighed that the summer after fifth grade. I weighed 170 in the 11th grade and maxed out around 275 in my late 20s. I am still pretty overweight. I don't know any other way to be.

Same here. I've always been overweight, at least since I hit puberty. I was a skinny 11 year old and then, soon after menarche, a curvy, chubby 13 year old with C cup breasts. Go figure. I've never been at a normal weight as an adult.
