Of course its fine.
Of course the heat kills all the bugs (assuming you cook it enough, same as with the chicken).

I really don't understand how this is gross.
How do you think chicken broth is made? Chicken + water.
There, as long as the corn is cooked enough, your corn should actually be *more* tasty from his culinary techniques.

Got it? So. How was dinner?

Corn is cooked for much less time than chicken. And your husband is nasty.

I don't know how much water would soak through the layers of husk to reach the corn. I can't imagine too much water gets through or else rain water would rot the cobs. I've seen a few cobs where water has gotten in and it is obvious as there is moisture trapped inside and the cob is rotten.

Given they were in husks and they are being grilled at high temps, I would probably eat the corn.

Cut the corn off the cob and cook on the stove.

Grills are pretty hot. Is it charcoal? natural gas? propane?

Thank you all!

I would be concerned that the corn won't get to a high enough internal temp for long enough. I would toss. Corn is cheap.

Love,
A poor who hates nothing more than throwing away food

OP here, this made me smile. I hate throwing food away too, but even more, I hate throwing a cob of corn away when my 3 year old has already seen it and really, really wants some cotc.
