That's odd. What's even more odd is that you really haven't spent much.

And here come the assholes.

That's nothing. I just dropped 10k for patio furniture. 4k for a new mattress. 3k for a restaurant dinner after sons confirmation. That was in the last month.

I really hope there were a couple hundred people in attendance.

40 people

$75 a head? Wow. What a waste. For a confirmation?

Not at all. We are well off and enjoyed treating our family. They have a great time and so did my son.

Probably a troll, but if not, hope things pan out for ya...

should I feel guilty or is this normal?

No you shouldn't feel guilty! with the exception of mulch, those are one-time purchases and come with being a homeowner. relax....unless you live paycheck to paycheck that is.

I think a nice fire pit in a big back yard sounds great. Just don't want the trees or houses to catch fire ...

This is the dumbest thing I've read in ages. Only in DC... Let me tell you PP, I'm Canadian and if you went around saying this here you'd be laughed out of town.

Depends: Did you budget for this or not.

credit card ....

If you can pay off the credit card at the end of the month without impacting your emergency cash, then no, you don't feel guilty.
If you have to tap emergency cash or you cannot pay the CC off at the end of the month, yes. You are overspending.
