In 20 years the Elsa lovers will be barristas at Starbucks and the Anna lovers will be folding sweaters at The Gap.
The girls whose mother's enusred they learned something useful will be running the world.

And so she can sing "Let it Go" All. Day. Long.

My 4yo DD wants to be Elsa because she has powers; she uses them to "freeze" her older brother.

My 5yr old prefers Elsa because she has superpowers. She basically views her as a superhero. Anna has no superpowers, which is the end as far as my child is concerned.

It's not that they like her more, it's that the doll is prettier and has a prettier dress. At least that's why my daughter desperately wants the doll. (which I've been trying - and failing - to find since before Xmas.) Ugh.

This is not true at all. My 4y old loves Anna and prefers her over Elsa. I would guess most kids do prefer Anna too since it is so unbelievable hard to get her dress, only available at the store in Epcot and flies of the racks 4 hours after arriving. Elsa's costume is still there….

Matter of a fact, the only other way you can get Anna costume is through the BB Boutique when you buy the whole $200.00 package.

My son says that he is Elsa and I am Anna--so I guess he likes Elsa best?

My wife thinks I am a perv because I told her Elsa was hot.

+1. FWIW, my 4yr old likes Anna better because "Elsa was mean and hurt Anna". Lots of layers to this movie, as with every Disney movie.

New poster, but I'll weigh in. It seems like "everyone" to me because the Elsa toys sell out immediately and then you have to pay huge prices on eBay to get them, while the Anna toys often stick around long enough to go on sale.

I cringed the first time I saw the movie and the way Elsa moved her hips.
But after 20+ viewings, I now see it as part of her becoming free to express
herself. As an adult woman, I take it in a sexual context. My 4 year old
and 7 year old boys? No - they think she's empowered. They love singing the
song. Plus, Idina Menzel has an INCREDIBLE voice. I love the song. And I
love the dress.
But no, not everyone love Elsa more than Anna.
As another poster commented, Elsa was never taught how to control her
powers. He father thought closing her in and making her afraid of hurting
people was the way. It wasn't. She was in no way evil - she was terrified
of hurting the one she loved - Anna. She shut Anna out because she was
afraid of herself. In turn, Anna felt unloved and was willing to marry the
first guy she met... If only the King had taught Elsa instead of making her
fear her own powers and hold it all in.
It would have been so great if Anna had magical powers that she never knew
and they were revealed at the end.

Oh, the problems of Disney!

Even though they wouldn't be able to put it into words, when she lets down her hair and gets the sparkly dress (with the very high slit), that is when she takes the lead for them... and aside from the otherwise ok message of the movie, it does bug me that Disney had to do that transformation as such a sexy one.

Yeah. Did you see her hips when she walked? That was almost twerking!

And the agenda of sexualizing young girls marches on...

Was Elsa a "young girl" at that point? I don't think she was.
