The Penn State scandal was horrible and I feel for the families involved. It was a terrible case of greed, dishonesty and hubris.

Although some will try to toss away your son and his friends' attempt at humor as a case of "boys being boys", these are alway "teachable moments" (not to be cliche, but that's our job as parents) Your son needs some lessons in appropriate humor and you might want to start working on that now...

That's how boys are...gross! but at least they don't say each other gay much anymore they are more sensitive to the issue. Nittany is gross but it's in bounds to use as a derogatory term considering what it refers to.
