Sounds about right. It's a great neighborhood.

Makes me feel better about spending $1.3m for a house that is a 5-minute walk from that house, but with 3x the square footage and with 6BR/6BA. This was in 2010.

Based on nearby homes and recent sales, you are probably right. This house is 1819 sf and a comparable house with 1846 sf (better kitchen, less updated baths) sold a few months ago for $865K. The only saving grace for this house that may keep the price up is that it is the only house in the area under $1M. For someone on a budget, the $900K cap may get them into a house without waiting too long.

The notion that isn't a bathroom doesn't negate the fact that there's a third bedroom. I think the bathroom rule applies to some areas of Virginia but it isn't a requirement in most areas. It's a nice house and the location trumps all.

It is in the one enclave of the Whitman district where you can walk to downtown Bethesda. Worth it for that alone, but the house does look updated.

Yes, and nothing was overpriced in 2005.

The price was just reduced to $899,900. It is easily walking distance to Bethesda Metro or just walk a few blocks and pick up the free Circulator bus on Old Georgetown that will take you to Metro.

It's not overpriced in that location.

It is common for two bedroom houses to sell for high prices in the right neighborhoods
