If they would just either READ (www.gmu.edu) or visit they would know those days are long over. GMU has the most diverse student body of any college or university in the USA. Those aren't moms driving over from Fairfax. They are international students.
For the love of god, stop with the Hyperbole. GMU is fine, but it hardly rates middle of the pack by even Virginia Standards.

Not bad. I'll take that. http://www.insidehighered.com/news/2012/10/17/tracking-graduates-wages-virginia#sthah.g15dsX7l.dpbs.
Yes but ITT grads make more than Amherst grads too. Doesn't make it prestigious.
Who's talking prestige?
If you can finish a program and get a good paying job and lead a happy productive life, who the hell cares about prestige???
So you're saying ITT is a better school than Amherst...

Yes i am sure Comm college students can make lots of money if they work hard....Except you have to forever look down when someone asks " where did you go to college".

Not the OP, but you do know UVA offers the same, right? Both have minimum GPAs you have to reach, but it's the same automatic admission program.
This is correct. But it is not automatic. You must take certain courses at NoVA and reach a certain overall GPA plus get a certain grade in specified courses. It's a very good deal for a student set on UVA who can maintain the requisite grades.

Everyone is talking about "distance learning" now except the SLACs who don't have the resources for tech. and outreach. The Mason Korea campus mentioned above is really something (scroll down). http://president.gmu.edu/blog

GMU is a great school and a great deal like so many of Virginia's state colleges. And Mason has more NCAA basketball tournament wins in the last ten years than Maryland too!
