Kids not interested in the rigors of TJ don't go. They don't even apply. Even if they are very smart. The system isn't rigged.

Whites are too scared to compete with bunch of smart Asians. Number of black and Hispanic applicants remained about the same for the same period and the number of Asian applications increased somewhat. Only the white applications declined. Bunch of wussies. The world is becoming a Global Marketplace. Face the competition and face the challenge instead of running scared.

Nice assumption. Perhaps many students have noted the demographic and cultural changes (robot students, anyone?) at TJ and decided they'd prefer a different environment. I'd call that running sane, not scared. TJ is not right for every competitive intellectually gifted student.
Predictable and same old attack of Asian students are "robot students". If you want to characterize students serious about studying and learning in a rigorous academic environment as "robot students", how do you characterize white students? Drug taking party animals?
They prefer a different environment all right. The environment where they don't have to compete with very smart and ambitious students taking advanced math and science courses and conducting research. There are also many more interesting clubs at TJ than other high schools including social clubs. So go party and do drugs because TJ is definitely not the right place for that.
Exactly right! When all else fails just blame Asian students or their parents for their "robotic" approach to school and studies. Don't ever blame white students and their parents when they underperform for their lack of diligence and priorities when it comes to their studies.

I don't think anybody should be disappointed, this is the way life is without any type of manipulations.

Perhaps the number above is a reflection of the resources available (or in this case not affordable) such as prep classes etc.
Ie there is some manipulation involved.....
