DD has a couple friend that play for HA. It can be expensive, figure in the early years $500 in the beginning, close to $2k for club team house, 2K+ for tier 2 travel, and 4k to 10k for tier 1 travel depending on age, per yr. This doesn't include the outside camps and individual practice time. HS probably cost around $1500 or so.... HTH

I do NOT recommend KOA.

Only the private schools because they actually teach their kids sports at younger ages and they play them in middle school. Unfortunately MCPS doesn't have a budget to let kids play decent sports in middle school. Most middle schools don't even have fields. My daughter's school softball team basically played in a field of weeds. Pathetic.

Bullis has great sports camps. We did softball, basketball and field hockey last summer.

There is also a volleyball clinic at Rockville Sports Plex for beginners. But if she isn't tall for basketball, volleyball might not be good either.
