Great, thank you so much for all of the info. I was actually wondering how long they would keep fresh and you helped to answer my question.

I was able to find two rectangular shaped ziploc plastic storage containers to put the cupakes in. They are pretty shallow so I was initially worried about squishing the cupcakes. The top actually presses down into the icing but to tell you the truth I was just so glad to be able to find some suitable containers. I was able to fit 12 cupcakes total (each container holds 6). I then wrapped the containers inside of plastic ziploc bags for extra protection.

Now I can't wait to see DH's face when he comes downstairs tomorrow and opens the box to grab a cupcake and sees that most of the cupcakes that he bought me are gone. I bet he will think I ate them all overnight

Haha. Looking back on it I sort of feel a little silly asking about cupcakes with such urgency.

It's during times like these that I'm really thankful for dcum.

My cupcakes are now resting safely in the freezer and my mind is at ease.

I wish I could mail a frozen cupcake to each pp who responded
