I definitely iron duvet covers. But it’s a ton of work so that’s why only my guest bed has one. I work quickly and have a good iron so I don’t mind it being on the floor. Same way I iron tablecloths.

My mom will often take her sheets or duvets out of the dryer slightly damp. She smooths them on the bed and then irons directly on the bed. She also had a large press. it’s what dry cleaners use for sheets. It’s huge and you close the lid to press both sides at the same time. She presses all her sheets.

except I like to binge watch tv while ironing. I guess I have to move my tv.. easier than moving the bed.

No shame OP. I used to iron my sheets when I had time. I like my top sheet and pillow case wrinkle free.

The hot setting on the dryer does tend to wrinkle cotton. So, don't dry it all the way.

My method: Position the ironing board at the foot of your bed. As you iron the duvet covet, move the ironed section to the bed vs allowing it to crumple on the floor.

Hang it to air dry instead of putting it into the dryer. Fewer wrinkles if you smooth it when you hang it, easier to steam when its dry to get the rest of the wrinkles out, and your duvet will last longer.

Mangle or clothesline are your 2 options.

I don’t know why people are being so hateful. If you like your duvet wrinkle free get a steamer. It’s not that crazy.

My $30 Ikea duvet cover does just fine, thanks. And despite the fact that it hasn't been washed in a few months and spent half the day crumped on the floor at the foot of the bed, it isn't very wrinkly at all!
