Yes, that is exactly what happens. An accepted child's sibling jumps to the top of the waitlist. As you can see from the list, however, there are already a lot of children that have done that. Generally, MV goes to great lengths to make sure that all the siblings of accepted children will get in. With such a huge expansion year, and so many students that will fall into that category, I'm not absolutely sure that will be possible. But, you can count on them trying as hard as they can, as the administration sees a high priority in having entire families together. This is a major issue for children that are on the list and don't have siblings, as you may actually move further from the top of the list rather than closer. Generally it is the older kid that pulls the younger one in, by the way, although that doesn't have to be the case.
