That's one of the small number of rent controlled apartments referenced earlier in the thread, I am sure. Market rent in the Oyster zone for that type of apartment is $2750-3000.

NP here. Is that true about reapplying if you move out? I have never heard that before.
Yes, it's written explicitly on their website. Oyster has had a problem with this game in the past so they're vigilant about rooting it out now.
Is this it automatic or by principal discretion? Anyone with recent experience?

the question is whether they have forced anyone to do that. if the policy is in place since 2011, I would think someone on here would know of someone who was forced out if they were doing it. just a thought.
And the other question is do you want to take that chance?
