I cannot think of any solution that would take less time than applying lotion. I use a kind with a pump bottle, dry off quickly, and lotion up in less than a minute. Really not other way around it.

Anyone who says they don't have time for lotion is overly dramatic or a hot mess. Seriously, you can't be that busy that you literally don't have 5 seconds to put on lotion. I bet I can find mothers of twins, triplets, 3 under 5 that out on lotion. OP you are severely disorganized or a drama queen.

OP - what I do is keep the lotion in the nursery! Helps a ton. Some adjusting - running back and forth to get clothes on, etc., but it at least gets me lotioned half the time.

NP here. I use the Olay in-shower lotion, and I find it quicker and easier than lotion afterwards. Not sure why; I'm not about to compare times. It just works for me.

I also HATE getting out of a warm shower into a cold bathroom. That's the main reason I don't use post-shower lotion in the winter.

OP, you may have to order it online--it can be hard to find in stores.

Look, I'm all for making sacrifices for my babies, but no lotion? That's fucking barbaric. Lotion separates men from lower animals, you know.

Get the lotion delivered. Then you can use the time you saved from going to the store to put on the lotion!

What about those spray lotions? Vaseline i think?

If your skin is itchy and dry....the solution is to put on lotion after you shower and dry off. I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to suggest a solution that doesn't take at least 90 seconds.

Also, make sure you are using fragrance free lotion, like cetaphil (especially if you are applying at work). Perfume can cause itchiness.

Yes. I have four kids, and work and go to school. I raise my kids to be independent and to learn to wait. That combo gives me time to do what I need to for myself or for one of the other kids. OP, maybe you take 7 showers a week and only have the time to apply lotion 4 of those times, but 4 is better than 0. Maybe the lotion days also need to be the ponytail days. Work it out.

I can't stand the feeling of lotion so I just use a humidifier and keep my humidity around 50-55%. Makes my skin feel really soft!!! No more bloody noses in the winter too.

I can empathize OP. I cut it out of my routine when my kids were really young. It's been awhile, I think I just sucked it up and got used to the dry feeling. Once the weather warms up you won't feel it so much. In the meantime, a humidifier in your room at night will help.

It gets better, my kids are older now and I've gone back to my lotion routine.

Get a humidifier and drink more! I never need lotion.
