--who to call because their neighbor put the trash cans out too early
--because someone may have touched a cell phone while waiting at a red light

I think it is because they have no life. We have an unwed former teen mom in our office and she is a NIGHTMARE. She is drama queen with fake double D's and tatts. We think the only reason the boss keeps her is because his wife is the exact opposite. Yuck!

What people do that could be the topic of snitching?

Here is what I did today that I would be in trouble or embarrassed if my boss or DH found out:


Nothing.

Even if I did some online shopping at work or something, it would be in the realm of reasonable. I don't snitch on people, I don't know anyone who snitches, and I can't imagine anyone I know committing any snitchable offenses. Who are you, OP?

Yes, we've all seen Very Special Episodes of TV shows dealing with snitching. I'm not unfamiliar with your use of the word; presumably OP is not, as a PP said, speaking of a shooting she committed that was then snitched upon. At any rate, I have no idea what company she keeps that people "snoop into her affairs and disclose the tiniest details behind her back" or nor what kind of life she leads such that she has so many little "details" worthy of disclosure. Which makes the post sound like a very dramatic 12 year old wrote it.
