Op, bv untreated can develop into pid.

Go to the doctor. I found the vaginal suppositories did not help but oral flagyl wiped it out.

It's worth a shot -- it helps your body regain its ph balance so it can fight back.

Good luck!

I don't think this meets the Op's requirement of "natural", afterall it has parabens.

+1 also, in large quantities I take about 4-5 pills twice a day during flareups.

OP, are you sure you don't just want to go to the dr? I've had BV and wow, it was awful. The smell just about knocked me out. They had me use vaginal suppositories (or a vaginal gel- can't remember), so I didn't take oral antibiotics like you might for a yeast infection. The dr. might surprise you with the prescribed treatment- I would at least go so you can have it definitively diagnosed and then you can decide to accept or reject the treatment.

Btw, I use RepHresh and I don't believe it would clear up BV (but that's just my personal opinion based on having a variety of vaginal woes).

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips about what to try versus preaching about panties that felt kind of cruel.

I used an earthclinic remedy from the earlier link. Probiotic pills. It worked.

I wear a lot of loose fitting cotton and cotton bikinis under skirts. So perhaps other things are triggering it...

I periodically get these infections and am looking for alternative treatments that don't require a prescription.

I'm confused how you can never wear underwear and also wear a lot of cotton bikinis. How are you defining the word underwear?

I wear cotton underwear under skirts, as I am not Lindsay Lohan and don't want to flash my crotch getting out of cars, etc.
I don't wear underwear under most casual pants. I also don't sleep in underwear. Most medical advice I have received is the more one airs her out, the better!

Clearly that's not working for you...
