We many end up going private but we were hoping to find a truly integrated classroom for him in a public setting. It seems as if most schools are just a throwing these kids and kids with similar needs into a regular classroom and trying to make it work by flying by the seat of their pants with pull out therapy and aides which is not fair to anyone.
Does anyone have any experience with Montgomery county public schools asperger support classrooms?
You may want to start a new thread for this.
Somewhere on this forum there's a list of Moco schools and whether they are a homeschool model or other, but I can't seem to find it.
(Just out of curiosity, would a teaching approach for Aspergers be helpful for attachment disorder and why. A friend with an adopted child is looking into attachment disorder.)
