Soft things go in the washer. In they don't survive, it wasn't meant to be.

For hard things, I used to do a bleach solution with wipedown, then tried a vinegar solution wipedown after I discovered that method at preschool. Finally discovered Listerine Mouthwash solution, and that is my preferred method.

Plastic teething toys I wash periodically (maybe once every 1 or 2 days) with soap and warm water. Any cloth toys go in the wash with clothes.

I have a harder time with the few cloth teething toys that either have plastic parts or say "do not submerge in water". The surface wiping just doesn't seem to be enough.

I used to clean all his toys with soap and hot water every Sunday. And then I realized I was being ridiculous. Now I do it once a month, or after he has been sick.
