I thought that Maren rhymes with Karen, whereas Marin rhymes with -- actually I don't can't something of something Marin rhymes with, but Marin County is Ma-RIN.

Love it! I always think of Catherine McCormack's character, Marin, in Braveheart. One of the most beautiful actresses ever, IMO.

Much prefer the Marin spelling, though.

Would having the name Maren have made her fat, or would she have used to have been thinner, with a different name? I'm not sure how that works.
