Yeah, toughen up. A little hypothermia acquired while waiting a couple of hours for a bus that will never come really isn't that big of a deal.

I think the 2 hour delay is a good compromise (and I'm the OP of the why doesn't DCPS use the delayed opening option more often thread).

Yes, it will still be cold. And yes, tomorrow will be tough with the bus situation. But 2 hours gives people time to figure it out.

I really do not think children will be killed or injured tomorrow. Let's toughen up (a little, but not all the way for an on-time opening!!).

I agree. My kids went to sleep in their clothes for tomorrow hoping they could go back. We will be there.

I'm a teacher, so I don't have the telework option. Have to come in from the suburbs.

I believe if less than 50% of students are absent, the school day does not count. Or what actually happens is they make everyone present.

Agree. Traffic is going to suck tomorrow morning delay or no delay. I have to be at work and get the kid to school At the same time now plus add in the delay due to the presidential motorcade. Yippee!

Exactly, at 10 am tomorrow it is supposed to be 18 degrees. Nothing will be melted and there will be lots of traffic because the Feds are on the same 2-hour delay schedule. Add to that, traffic interruptions and road closures for the first family traveling around Ward 4. I like Obama ok, but come on!
