Funny how perspectives vary. I love my clogs because I had foot surgery three months ago and clogs are the only thing I can wear other than running shoes. Plus when I was in my cast, the clog raised up the non-injured foot so I could walk evenly. They may be ugly but they sure as hell best wearing a cast or walking cast.

I have the navy patent, and since mom jeans are back in as a trend, this too shall return. I consider them as classic as birkenstocks.

I bought these last May (with my March Madness winnings!) and they are so comfortable and have held up beautifully... the only people to really compliment me on them are ladies in their 70s but I'm going to let that get to me, I walk miles a day and have a bad back and these shoes are the best.

PP again, I would say that all of the flats posted here are either not flattering or not comfortable. Personally, I'm not comfortable standing all day in flats.

Teacher OP, I know where you are coming from. I think the Whiskey Danskos are fine with jeans or pants (not dresses or skirts ever). I think this pair is a bit cuter and you could wear it with a skirt:

I cannot abide Dansko clogs but, if you insist OP, the Whisky ones look more fun.

Those are NOT worse than clogs. They are plain, ballet flats. They are much more streamlined than clogs.

I posted the link and I have a pair of Gentle Souls flats although not the ones I posted. They are much more cushioned and supportive than flats I've had from Frye, J Crew, Nine West. I assumed people who like clogs are looking for something a bit more supportive than a standard flat with no support.

Well that was fun...but still mom shoes.

First off - nurses, teachers, and people who stand all day for a living - keep on rocking your crocs and clogs. Function and your foot/back health is more important than fashion.

Errand running moms - here are more clog alternatives - slip on and supportive. Take my advice with a grain of salt - I do tons of city walking and I wear Frye boots or custom Vans.
