This is what my DH also thinks. However, that thought could not be further from the truth for me. I am interested in all lifestyles that are different from mine. I like to see how other people interact and respond in different cultures. And, believe me, the real housewives people are in a completely different culture than me.

I gave up Downton sometime in the third season, but at least everyone knows it's a scripted show instead of pretending it's "reality." I don't blame reality TV for shitty public behavior, but I really started to notice lots of narcissistic, unsavory behavior at the same time they uncorked the reality TV genie's bottle.

I don't have any friends so it's my only way to see how other women live.

Same reason people watch Honey Boo Boo or that Dance Moms show or really any reality show.
