I don't think people who have it done see themselves the way others do. I have several friends who swear by botox. They've said to me "Be honest. How does it look". I smile and say - "Fantastic!". But of the four friends that I know have it done regularly, none look good. I would never tell them that. I love them and feel like if it makes them happy, they should do it.

But seriously....it looks awful.


They live in their own little fantasy world. They will only get stranger and stranger looking. So delusional and such a waste of money.

Some definitely look better than others. I have a coworker who did a little too much and her forehead does not move at all. I just do a little tinch at my 11 lines, and I still have plenty of movement. I only go 2 times per year.

I'm 53 and have never tired fillers or botox. I'm fortunate in that I don't have many lines or wrinkles. If they ever come out with something to get rid of my under eye cirlces though I'd definitely be the first in line!

I've done Botox or Dysport (no difference for me) for years. They have a very light touch. I always have some movement left. My 11's were making me look chronically unhappy. I no longer have the frowny face. It has been great.

What are 11 lines?


They are the vertical lines right above the nose and between the eyes. If you squint your eyes, you will see them.


I am only 29 and have HORRIBLE 11 lines. I think bad eyesight is to blame... I've spent a lifetime squinting. I would consider Botox for those alone.

I do Dysport through a cosmetic surgeon. It sets in faster and lasts longer, for me anyway. Recently tried Botox for comparison and it made my lids heavy and i had a headache for a few days. 44. Do every six months.

Reviving an old thread - I need some advice too. I need immediate help with my forehead and crows feet. Do you all go to a dermatologist? Do you have to do a consult first? Any good recommendations in the Falls Church/Arlington/McLean area? I caught a glimpse of myself in the window reflection today and it wasn't pretty.
