I suspect that Bates was involved somehow, but didn't actually do it himself. Perhaps he hired someone that he met in prison to do the dirty work? He looked way too happy in that last scene.
Love love love the clothes.
Nah, Bates definitely did it.

Ha I thought the same thing - those short white gloves - I couldn't tell they were short at first.

You can watch on PBS.org!
I agree with you, PP, about the flower scene! I was hooting loudly with laughter! I love the idea that Isobel might find romance, and if it's not with the doctor like many of us have been suspecting, all the better! (I have to say, I have disapproved of the mildly disloyal comments he has made about Isobel to Violet in the two prior episodes!)
Molesley as the romantic hero is NOT something I saw coming, either!
Edith and Tom will never be a match. He's going to run for political office and he's going to hook up with the school teacher.
I actually liked Mary in this episode, for once. And I'm having a tough time choosing between Gillingham and Blake (maybe partly because they look alike). I did like the way Blake admiringly reported Mabel's reaction to his breaking off their engagement; he scored points with me for that.
Where can I get some of those clothes?!
