Geesus, if you can't afford Bloome's, then don't effing shop there. Same with Nordstrom and all the others. You will be the cause of them closing shop. Will that make you proud?

I frequently buy from retailers that have loose return policies - like Eddie Bauer and LL Bean and REI. I guess with Bloomingdales it's a little different because they don't create all of their products themselves. But the point is the policy is in place so you can buy with confidence.

lol. you obviously are a guy and don't have sisters or a wife.
if the OP is talking about the longchamps bags, look around in the metro. those are quite popular.
yup, some women handbags are ridiculously priced. for example, those louis vuitton bags that are not even leather, those go for $900+? the crazy thing is that the consumers are still buying after LV kept on raising their prices.

Actually, I'm a woman. When OP said nylon tote I was picturing something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Mato-Hash-Reusable-Integrated-Black/dp/B00D34TQC8

Hence the confusion.

(Personally, I think expensive purses are moronic, but I am aware of their existence.)

These bags are for people who can't afford a leather longchamp.

I once returned a leather tote bag to Nordstrom's because the zipper broke in the first year. I felt that the bag should have help up longer. For something like a hole in a nylon bag, I wouldn't return it. That seems like normal wear and tear.

Those Longchamp nylon totes are ridiculous. $150 for a nylon bag? Longchamp does make lovely leather bags, but I would never pay that kind of money for nylon.

Wow--I saw two of these Longchamp bags on the bus today, and thought: wow, now nylon is in style? Now that I know these weren't Container Store purses, I'm saved the embarrassment of trying to be on-trend on the cheap...
