Earlier poster here. Had a conversation with 4th grader today about why school is different this year.
His take: "There's not as much repetition."
Agree with earlier poster who mentioned that reading assessments don't happen, so they can actually learn.
The kids definitely feed off each other in a way that I haven't seen in past years.

Our HGC only has two teachers so it's easy to have a sense of both before committing.
