It actually snows more (not a lot) in Feb-early March than any other time.

I'm loving the snow. Bring it on. Although by mid-March I'll probably be ready for spring.

I was in a wedding in early April one year - in a strapless dress - and it snowed.

Yes, we got a coating of snow during the last week in March last year. I'd better not see that s**t this year.

We got like two inches of snow TOTAL all of last winter.

Exactly. You freaking whiners. A dusting of snow doesn't count.

Seriously? You haven't had enough time home in the past month?

No more snow!

it snowed last March right before Easter. 2012 was so mild, I have pictures of DD running in the yard without a jacket. You just never know.

Yep. Makes me giggle to think that anyone thinks of this as normal DC weather.

I grew up in DC, and still live in the area. It's colder than average, but the snowfall amount is actually pretty on par with accumulation most years. However, people seem to bitch, complain, and freak out WAY more. I blame it on the transplants, mostly from the south.

And don't forget that we have a HUGE Latino population here where snow is "foreign" to them.

Snow isn't easy to navigate through when it comes so infrequently. Use it or lose it.

I was just looking at old pictures. In one of them from March, 2012, my son was celebrating his mid-month birthday wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Now I know that was unusually warm weather, but it's very nice when it happens! I think for every outlier snowy day in March, we should get a warm day.
