Just went to Tile Source in downtown DC. The only place I have been for tiles thus far and dont think I will bother going anywhere else. Beautiful tiles with a mixture of prices.

Morris Tile. Better quality than Home Depot and much cheaper than Architectural tile. Check out more than one place and compare.

We just used Mosaic tile for a backsplash and love it. We used The Tile Shop in Rockville for our bathrooms. They have a good selection, but when it came to order the tile for the bathrooms, the guy missed a lot of stuff, so we had to go back several times and figure it out (he had the plan). I feel like Mosaic is between The Tile Shop and Architectural Ceramics, they have high end, but also a more affordable selection too.

Bartley Tile in Bethesda is great. It's a local business, David, the owner is very knowledgeable. He's got some lovely tile that you can't find elsewhere.

And even though it's small, there were a great range of options, just not as many model set ups.
