Cantonese?
Hong-Kong style?
Mandarin? (And if someone knows of good Mandarin style Chinese in this area, please speak up!)
Sichuan?
I can't find anything I can eat at Joe's Noodle House. It is all too spicy for me. But I love Americanized Chinese from Meiwah.
I love the Dim Sum at New Fortune.
So asking for the Best Chinese in an area isn't helpful without more data points.

Need to go out to Rockville. Try A&Js. YUM.
A&J's is terrible! A bit too authentic if you ask me. Meiwah is great.
OMG....No offense, but if you prefer Meiwah to A&Js then you are definitely not looking for the "best Chinese." Real chinese food does not look like what is at Meiwah. No, you will not find "General Tso's Chicken" or "Orange Chicken" at A&Js. But then again, you probably wouldn't find it in China either.
Trust me, I don't want something I would get in China! That's why I hate A&J's. Americanized Chinese is what I like, and what I assume our NYC transplant had delivered in on the upper east or west side. To each her own. All good.

Also, we love A&J! It is our kids favorite place!

Are you talking about the place next to Starbucks or the one in the Wholefoods shopping center across the street?
Next to Starbucks. I like it. The steamed dumplings, and shrimp with vegetables is what I usually get.
Maybe they just make it better for me because I speak Mandarin to them (I'm not Asian, so they get a good chuckle out of this I think)
