I hated those books as a pre-teen/teen. Thought the incest was utterly repulsive and the stories were stupid, unrealistic and the opposite of romantic. Yuck.

Ugh. Never read the boom but just read the plot summary on Wikipedia. WTF? Why would anyone read or watch such garbage?

I dot have a brother so I was never really creeped out. I will watch just because when the last Flowers in the Attic movie was made, it was horrific. I was always a big VC Andrews fan. Just set up the DVR. Thanks for the reminder.

But they kept finding them in the "vault!" And oddly, they all had to do with beautiful siblings who had a forbidden love for each other.

So much incest in those books. I always wondered what VC Andrews' life was like growing up.

I cannot believe my mother let my 14 year old self read these books. She even bought them for me!

This book was in the 'kids' room at my grandmother's house when I was a kid (left by a cousin) and I read it while there one summer in the room I shared with my brother... Eek! Gave me the creeps and I can't believe I even finished it.
No way can I put an on-screen visual with my memory of the book!

OMG the melodrama

During the night, their grandmother injects Cathy with morphine and covers her head in tar. Chris manages to remove the tar without cutting off all the hair by mixing chemicals from his chemistry set. The grandmother refuses them food for an entire week, so Chris is forced to feed the twins his own blood in order to keep them alive.

Is it worth the $6 to buy the book on my kindle? I've never read it.
