I was 401 on Wed. and it only took 1/2 hr. for those in front of me to clear. It goes faster than you think. The problem is that there is so much competition for everything in this council.

Yes, I think issues is just supply/demand - and folks here are aggressive (hey, I am too) about getting what they want, so everyone tries to register at the exact same moment.

I wish they would use a 5th campground for summer camp - there seems to be enough demand for it!

Good to hear. I'm down to 213 now. I'm at work so was hoping to do this quickly. Awful system. At least it isn't midnight, like last year!

Ooh, now 207!

+1

and they blame our wretched website on National GS, but this IS the local part, so it's sad that the lion's share of the girl's cookie money goes to a sub-par IT department

Yes, I was able to do that.

You were able to do this this year? Or in a previous year?

If this year HOW did you do it? I have sent three emails to two different people.... they ask you not to clog up the system with emails which I understand, but it's been two days now and no one has told me how to do this!

Thanks for responding. I found out that there was no bus service during the week I selected

Do they ever have additional openings for the bus transportation? We got into a second choice camp week but didn't get bus transportation.

Everything with GS in this council is SO freakin' competitive... from reserving a campsite, to booth selection to summer camp... to activity days. Everything requires you to be there the SECOND it opens with two people working to get the event you want. IT's nuts.

I manage similar systems for a living and it's inexcusable they can't get a workable system.

Fingers crossed for Camp Potomac Woods reg on Friday!

Maybe by splitting up signups in half, they will have fewer problems? Today was really bad.
