Hourly is way better. Then no one really wants you to work overtime and if they do want you to work over 40 hours...you get paid for it!

I get paid hourly. I wish I was salaried because I have no leave time. I only get paid for hours worked, and my pay isn't a lot. The worst is when school is called off and I have to figure out how to work with my kiddo at home - I mostly work during her school hours. My husband hardly ever has a day off, so I get stuck scrambling with school closings.
It is flexible and I can somewhat set my own hours, but there are drawbacks.
