Has anyone here divorced someone who they didn't trust to properly look after their kids while in their care?

seems to be a reasonable cause but remember - unless you go through the entire process of a child custody lawsuit with psychologists and home visits and expert witnesses and the whole nine - he's going to have some custody of the child. unless of course he abdicates entirely.

Do you think he wants to divorce? Perhaps he'd be willing to not have custody - just visits - since he's so uninterested in looking after baby? Maybe you could come to an agreement with him?

No, he works part-time, and I work full-time.

Why does he sleep until 11am? Are you a SAHM and he expects childcare to be your responsibility?

No, I don't feel that it's safe. That's why after arguing about him taking care of DS in the morning and doing daycare drop off, I relented and gave in to just doing it myself. I don't feel secure that husband would get up and take care of DS in the morning. At least with him at daycare, I know there are adults who are awake and caring for him. I've been thinking of divorce for a while, but I fear for DS's safety while husband would have custody of him. I've gone to counseling myself, but husband refuses. I just feel lost.
