~85% overall but 99% on verbal portion. DC was just over 3 years old when tested.

Before anyone gets too excited... there are many testers in this town who give *everyone* a score in the high 90s. Just ask your admissions directors- they see all the scores and see who is giving them.

Well, we were not surprised with the 99.9 percentile with our child nor were we impressed. A lot can happen to a 6 year-old before 21. Young parents and first experience usually sends parents way over the top with respect the importance or significance of the score. If your child can walk and chew gum at the same time the score is ....meaningless!

I remember thinking that my kid was a genius for scoring in the high 90's percentile wise. I now think that every potential private school applicant around here gets those scores. Am I correct that the percentile is based on the number of people taking the exam? If I am, how can so many people be 99.9%?

7 yr old should not be taking the WPPSI - should be taking the WISC test at that age...


Do you want to discuss this with the tester? He did qualify for CTY-SET (Math - 760 and Reading- 640) at the age of 11 years and 9 months. I suppose he should not be taking the SAT at that age too?

He is 14 yr-old. He was around 7 years of age when he took it. I took the liberty of rounding up to his birthdate. I do not remember the exact age (6 yrs, ? months & ? days).

PS: His younger brother at the time was about 5 years (rounding here) and scored in the 98 percentile.
