I know that people in the Caribbean say that bananas help to keep things moving- and I suppose they have access to fresher, riper bananas than I do because it is the exact opposite for me and for my son. Neither of us can do bananas as much as we love them.

They're in the brat diet because they're easy on the stomach. They are literally an example of something that is not upsetting to eat a lot of.

Potassium is not dangerous. It makes you slightly more attractive to mosquitos, though, so I suppose if you eat a lot of bananas your odds of getting malaria increase.

green bananas are great for sugar control in diabetics They contain a special starch that increases glucose tolerance.

Ripe bananas do not constipate, and can actually help keep things moving.


This is interesting. I did not know that. I thought the greenish ones were supposed to be more healthy.
