Just the opposite. DCUM is always recommending eating things that every food safety expert would tell you to toss. The fact that most people on here thinks this needs to go in the trash should tell you a lot.

OP here. Thanks for the input, all. I guess we will toss it. I wanted to wait til the last possible minute to turn it on - lesson learned.
