The first season of Once Upon a Time -- it's on Netflix. Very good. The second season wasn't as good.

I tried watching Justified--couldn't get into it.

Buffy!!

Orange is the New Black--funny and touching.

Orphan Black -- thrilling. Great acting.

God no. It is not something I would like at all....

And yes, we do watch lots of tv from time to time. We go through "spurs," in which we do a marathon on some tv serie or series. Usually during the winter, oddly enough.

I think you meant to say spurts not spurs

OP, I've watched and liked 80% of your list, so I'm guessing our tastes are similar!!

Torchwood
Land Girls
Veronica Mars
Being Human (British version--I haven't seen the US)
Dark Angel
Doll House
Buffy (if you didn't watch it the first time around)
United States of Tara

Agree about mr. Selfridge. I watched the whole thing but only for curiousity, not really for enjoyment. Sons of Anarchy is really really good.

Ooo. Second "torchwood" -- great show.

I was going to suggest Suits and The Good Wife. But not sure if they're too much about lawyers.

I disagree with the Mr. Selfridge recommendation - I found it to be insufferable. Jeremy Piven was completely miscast, and his horrid over-acting ruined the show. FWIW, I usually like him.

OP, if you haven't seen the HBO series Rome . . . well, I wish I were you so I could watch them all again for the first time. You are in for a treat. One of the best series of all time, and I was sad when it ended. I promise you'll enjoy it.

Orange is the New Black

The Corner (available on netflix - it is a short series about a neighborhood drug corner in baltimore, and all the lives surrounding the events that go on there).

If you like sci fi - you should try Grim. Totally a guilty pleasure!

I think Veronica Mars is on amazon now-- I would definitely check that out as our tastes seem pretty similar.

I watch Fringe on Amazon. It's a great show. Scandal is also a really good one and its on Netflix. Netflix has a few original series which are great as well like Lilihammer, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and there is another one that I started watching that takes place in Alaska.

I've watched a lot of yours, OP, and I'm putting The Wire on our list for next. I have yet to hear a negative review.
