Most of the sales at the current store are to customers who park at the LV center, I don't think the quality at the new place will be very high if it depends on foot traffic. Yuck.

+1 - those of us who live there love it. Plus, I couldn't care less about the parking because I can walk there very easily. On a side note, I don't know why people say it's so limited. Maybe they don't know where to look or complain because they don't try beyond the Lost Dog lot? I certainly don't find it to suck compared to other areas of Arlington. I think the shops at Lee Heights are much worse. Talk about messy.

I find that whole area kind of meh. There's limited parking and not that much there anyway. I think it's probably good if you're an elderly person on a pension in the nearby garden apartments who can walk to the Westover Market for basic staples.

Not sure what your exact point is since this isn't a complete sentence, but it sounds like you're simply denigrating Westover generally?

I'm in the neighborhood. I don't need to be in Dupont or Clarendon or downtown Bethesda. In fact, I don't want to be super urban. However, I do like knowing I can walk my kids to the library and post office, to get ice cream on a summer night, pick up some fresh vegetables at the farmer's market and even grab dinner or a drink with family or friends.

Yes, about a year ago. Replaced by a store selling Fair Trade goods.

they screwed up our takeout recently and i called to just let them know and they delivered the missing items to our house...

I agree. They're overpriced, too, for what you get.

I've known this was coming for the last year and am so excited. Not just the pizza and subs, but the wine selection as well as the Italian groceries, cheeses and pastas all within walking distance of my house puts a smile on my face.

Apparently this location will have a coffee bar.

Slated to open by Memorial Day.

Parking is abyssmal in Westover, but for those of us who are local it's becoming our own little walkable village. The Stray Cat has added no value. I do wish it and the Forest Inn would go away. Oh, and the Westover Market improve its grocery selection. I wouldn't buy produce from there if you paid me.
