Last I heard birthdays are special days that everyone until death celebrates, how absurd to say they are for kids. If you mean to say birthday "parties" are for kids, I can somewhat agree but a birthday is a special day for anyone irregardless of their age. Who doesn't want to feel special and acknowledged on at least one day a year?

Anonymous wrote:OP, have you considered that maybe something was going on with her that day? Maybe she's dealing with things you're not aware of yet. Maybe she had a crazy day and knew she wouldn't be able to call so she sent a text. Be a good enough friend to be understanding of her. And be thankful that you have a friend that you value so much.
